#808 North Carolina -8 1/2
3-Units (6:25 P.M. CST)

North Carolina comes in as the number two highest scoring team in the nation(90 PPG) while Washington St. comes in with the number two lowest scoring defense in the nation(56 PPG). One must conclude that the numbers will meet some where in the middle! While researching this game, I noticed that Washington St. won 14 Games in a row to start the season with their only true tests being against Washington and Usc. Then Ucla came along and burst the bubble, not only once but twice during the season. Everyone knows that Washington St. slows the pace down, to keep the games respectable and within reach. But just how good is Washington St. on defense??? Lets compare them to North Carolina. Washington St. allowed 7 teams to hit over 50% of their shots from the field on the season, while North Carolina allowed only 3 teams to shoot over 50% from field on the season. I even looked to see how many times Washington St. and North Carolina held their opponents under 40% from the field defensively and surprisingly Washington St. held 13 opponents under 40% while North Carolina held 11 opponents under 40% from the field. Not much difference!!! To make a long story short,,,Washington St. lost against better teams on the season, including (UCLA 2X), (Stanford 2X), California, and Arizona and will struggle against this North Carolina team that has shot 50% or better from the field in 18 games this season. Washington St. had a great run, but it ends tonight.
Take North Carolina -8 1/2 for 3-Units!!!

Thanks and Good Luck.
