Gavin Floyd has been a pleasant surprise for the White Sox going 2-0 on the season with a solid 2.03 ERA with teams only hitting .159 against him. Now he gets a shot at a Baltimore team that has scored 3 or less runs in 4 of its last 5 games. Opposing Floyd will be Jeremy Guthrie for Baltimore. Guthrie pitched well in his last two starts giving up only 4 earned runs in 13 innings of work. The long ball has been a problem for Guthrie, as he has allowed one home run in each of his starts. Chicago hit at a .345 clip against Guthrie the only time he faced them giving up 6 runs in 7 innings. Look for Guthrie to run his record to 0-2 against the Sox after tonight.
